I will never say it enough, I love made in Lao products, so when I read about the opening of Urban Cotton Co. shop, promoting Lao skills, of course I had to visit!
The shop advocates for “promoting traditional skills through modern style”. And what a gorgeous shop!
Urban Cotton Co. displays some beautiful cotton home decor, either to hang on the wall or to put your plants, as well as wood boards, with some messages.
My favourite one is the Baan sweet baan, but the board with the GPS latitude of Vientiane is definitely the most original.
You’ll also love the pillows… OMG! You’ll find the cotton ones, but the mixed of leather and cotton are fabulous!

The owner said it was important for her to promote traditional art from both Vientiane and remote areas, as well as offering workers with safe jobs and fair wages.
The variety of products is now about the pillow and the home decor, but she said the range will get wider and wider. But only with they have in store, there is no doubt Urban Cotton Co. will be very sucessful.
Prices are reasonable, pillows start at around 150,000LAK. For handmade products, it is definitely not expensive !

I had a big crush on their earings (I really have a problem with them!) AND the rings.
You’ll also the possibility to shop keyrings, bamboo baskets or beautiful purses. I really can’t wait to visit the shop in the upcoming months.
