[I promised you to post this quickly, but due to business trips, I couldn’t make it earlier]
A month ago In September, I was gracely invited to the Indonesian Food Festival, organized by the Embassy of Singapore, hosted by Mercure Hotel Vientiane, and deliciously prepared by Chef Dwito.
Over a week-end, Chef Dwito delighted Vientianer guests with lunch and dinner buffet.
I was there on the first day: arrived at 12 sharp, I left the table at 3PM ! It was my first time trying Indonesian food, even though I assumed it was a cuisine similar to Indian one, with a lot of spices. Everything I tried was just super tasty, super yummy, and I am really looking for this kind of food tasting events more often in Vientiane.

Not only the food, the guests could also enjoyed music performance, singing both Indonesian AND a classic Lao song (I only heard this one, I was more focused on my plate).
In addition to the very colorful desserts buffet (that I spotted once I cross the door) it was also a real pleasure for the eyes to see all these traditional outfits, made of Batik patterns.
Than you again Mercure Hotel and Vientiane Lifestyle for the great moment !
