I love salads. It might sound completely common, but this fact is actually pretty recent. Years ago, I was like “salad ? Why don’t go to eat real food ?!!”. Scandal. And, despite how simple it can be to
cooked dressed, I was hunting around Vientiane on where to get a good salad, which can really mae you feel full. And I think Spoon & Fox will be in my Top 3 for the salads and healthy juices.
Located accross Panyathip and Sharon schools in Saphanthong, Spoon & Fox is an ideal place on Saturday (understand a lot of parking space). On a rainy day, just enjoy the sight on the perpendicular streets through the glasses, comfortably seated on their bench.
The place is big enough to welcome between, I would say, roughly 20 people, and it is the kind of place every detail has been thought. It is sober and stylish at the same time. I would really love to have this kind of taste for decoration.
There is a selection of Healthy juices and I tried a Green juice, made of pineapple, green apple, celery, lemon and ginger – I liked it, the juice was well-balanced, not too sour as I was afraid of and the celery didn’t go over other ingredients neither. There is also no sugar added and less ice, but I think I will order it without ice at all next time !
The menu looks good, just as the juices: salads, sandwichs and Salmon steak. My bestie had it, it came with stir fried vegetables and a mix or white/purple rice and it was apparently super yummy !
For me, it was the Quinoa Salad: a big bowl that I almost couldn’t finish (and I eat a lot). And I enjoyed E-VE-RY bite of avocado, feta and cherry tomato drizzled with a tasty dressing.
And the best for last: their Hummus – I haven’t had a such good one for ages, and I am very happy I tried their. I, by the way, went for a take away today. It is perfectly seasoned, and it comes with fresh baguette they bake themselves.
Before you leave the place, grab one avocado or two, they are organic !
