Do you like street food ? I do, and for this 3rd edition, I choosed to share 3 vendors.
The street food were one of your preferred articles on this blog and I will try to share with you my favorites spots more often.
Tofu yogurt or tao huay
This lady is on her bicycle, knocking at every door to sell these yogurts made of tofu and ginger. If you see her, ask her to do it not sweet. Having it in the morning is pretty good and I have it pretty often.
I meet her on Souphanouvong Avenue.
Khao nom at Sihom junction
This small kart arrives everyday around 5M, next to the other ones I showed you in Street Food #1 and #2, at Sihom junction.
Flavoured rice cake, Coconut pudding, Jelly, Tapioca balls (sa khoo yard sai) or Pandan layer cake (my favourite one actually), everything is up to 1,000LAK per piece. Very appreciated by Local people, you will need to queue before to get served, but I promise it is worth it.
Banh xeo at Nokeokoummane
Those who know me know how much I love Vietnamese food. Among all the delicious dishes that come out from a kitchen, my favourite one is the Banh Xeo, this pancake made with Mungo beans and filled with minced pork, shrimps and soy sprout. Cut a piece of it, roll it in a lettuce leaf and dip with the sweet sauce.
If you are craving of it, please note they serve Banh Xeo only on Fridays. This is in the small alley accross the Banneton.
And you, where do you eat street food ?
The food looks amazing, great photos!
