It’s been a while I wanted to write about The State of Pasta, but it took me time not visiting them but actually to collect enough photos: yes, I found – still find – difficult to resist to eat in the 30 seconds what is in your plate.
The second branch (the first is in Dongdok) of The State of Pasta has opened in the center early this year (or late 2016) and the team welcomes you in a luminious – which is, I have to admit, very pleasant and quite surprising for the city center – and modern space.
You have to know that The State of Paste serve ONLY homemade pastas. Home-made pas-tas. Doest it sound appealing enough for you too ?
But before it, they kindly offer you a plate of Focaccia to devour with 3 completely different dips a tasty chili puree, a very flavourful olive oil and a fruity mango jam.
First of all, choose the shape of your pastas: Spaghetti, Tagliatelle, Penne, Caserecce… And then you go for their classic but original tomato sauce, the Carbonara sauce. That are the classico. Looking for some original recipes ? Then you must try the Laap Lasagna or the Spaghetti Pad Kee Mao. Whatever you decide to go for, choose between a bacon, cheese or egg extra to enhance your dish !
Besides the pasta recipes, The State of Pasta has a selection of other dishes: salad, with as I hear, a wonderful mozzarella croquette. And if after all, you still have some room for a dessert, go for the Nutella ciabatta.
