Further to Laos Tourism 2018 Campaign, some old fashion houses have been built in That Luang area. With the opening of That Luang Festival, these little houses were just perfect as pop up stores for us to see what Laos offers the best. This week-end, I visited the one decorated by Patuxay. And as you can expect from Patuxay, it’s all about details and fineness.
You know, when you are ridding or driving around Vientiane and you see these houses on stits – than have been renovated for most of them – and you imagine how life was inside. Well, the That Luang Village is like a step back in time. I show you ?
I was in a bubble for an afternoon time and it felt really good out of time for few hours. I quickly felt I was home here in Vientiane, but this is not always easy to catch memories from here when the ones who will tell you about the stories are in France. But from what they told me and this interlude, I could totally imagine my family living in this kind of house.

Did you like the visit ? Just in case it was still unclear: I am TOTALLY into that house ! Isn’t so cute ? You can visit it too until Friday 3rd – The Village is located behind the That Luang Stupa, where it is much more spacious and quiet :). It’s open all day, enjoy !
Oh, you can purchase many many items from Lao handicraft well-known brands: sinh, purse, laptop bag, pottery (I purchased one which looks like tajine and I use it to store onion and garlic), scarf… And many more !
