One month without posting anything, September has been a very busy month and I really hope I have more time for my blog in the upcoming months. By the way, thank you all for passing by and continue to check it out, despite I was not “here”.
Today: direction the Lao sea, Thalat. I have been there only twice in the past, and when I left Vientiane last week, I wasn’t really expecting it will take so much time to head up there, but it took us 2 (long) hours to get there ! Well, you just forget about this once you arrive.
We parked the car on the first spot we found and decided to go for a little mini walk to the restaurant. Being two on a big boat with the karaoke sounds a bit too much so we just went for a lunch in the restaurant.
I really love the atmosphere of this tiny road. How many people actually live there ? Even though you just find few houses, families seem to have so much fun looking at people who just come for few hours. Well, my favourite instagramable picture remain the small petrol station that looks like everything but a petrol station.
The real purpose of the visit was to actually buy some som paa, for our own tummy but family too. Two hours driving for fish ! But let’s say it was the occasion to “leave” Vientiane a bit and to take some fresh air can’t harm, right ?

Oh, yes, the som paa was worthy the long way !
And Thalat is definitely nice for a week-end getaway !
