Chef Philippe : While you are tempted by French cuisine, his name probably comes to your mind. Coming from Burgundy, Chef Philippe has been living in Laos for almost 20 years, he loves the Country, but beyond this, he loves food. And the authentic one.
The à la carte menu should thrill every French-cuisine-holic: cheese and cold cuts platter, goat cheese salad and, my favourite (!!!): the côte de boeuf. This about 1 kg piece of Thai-French beef is served with 3 sauces – béarnaise, pepper and blue cheese -, fried garlic and sea salt, and with a choice among rice, potato gratin or French fries. Simply exquisite.
Then, you have a lunch set, with 1 main + 1 starter and/or + 1 dessert option. After a full set, you can easily go for a nap. Personnally, I most of the time choose the main and the dessert. Usually, you will have the choice between a fish and a piece of meat for the main.

And on special occasions, such as Christmas, New Year’s eve or Valentine’s Day, the Chef really spoil us. Pictures below have been taken on Valentine’s, a menu full of love ! And the Chocolate fondant… It was just to die for !

Bistro 22 is a safe bet if you are looking for French food. The team – the Chef, his wife and their employees – how to treat clients and warmly welcome theù, and this is truly appreciated. Bon appétit !
