If you live in Vientiane, you may heard – or even think – there is no place to make shopping. That is true, we don’t have here famous International brands. But there are obviously many gift shops. Among them, there are 2 I would like to write about…
The shop
When two beautiful shops decide to merge, here is what you get: Le Comptoir (previously located on François Ngin Street) – JHA Gift (previously located on Samsenthai, close to Simeuang Temple), the ultimate place to go for gift shopping but also to enjoy yourself! Entering there is like entering in Ali Baba’s Cavern. Ready for the visit?
Newly opened – and still on soft opening – this place is full of charm, all in wood, and it offers a wide selection of products. See.
For you…
From jewelries to cardholder, pocket for your glasses to scarf, keychain to bags…
Looking for a pair of shoes ? Go for the sandals in leather. Value for money. Looking for gadgets? Pick one of those baggage hook or even a lighter protector.
… Your kids…
Mothers, if you come with your little precious, there is a corner with toys in wood. You’ll find crib mobile or luminous and colorful garland too.
The plus of these items? Some of them have been made by Lao Disable Women, the project which helps women to reinsert in the Society. And, we agree (don’t we?), that is always a pleasure to support 1) this kind of project 2) local handicraft .
…And your home
At the back, get inspiration from the beautiful table set up made by owners. All you need for yours. Special crush for the bowls that go with chopsticks. .
Either you already know them or not, it is worth visiting them. Definitely. Classy, Bobo or Original, you must find something you will love.
Staff is also welcoming and smiling, and they are always ready to help you if needed.
[MY TOP 3] Lemongrass flavor candle (hard to find in Vientiane!) – Luminous Garland – Bag hook
